About Us
The ABHMS Center for Continuous Learning (CCL) equips disciples and leaders with practical, accessible learning for faithful ministry in a changing world.
Everything We Do Is Discipleship
We know discipleship is a lifelong journey. That is why CCL approaches education as more than the transfer of information. Our learning experiences are designed to help people connect faith with practice. We equip disciples to become leaders and empower leaders to continue growing as disciples.
As a ministry of American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS), CCL brings together learners, experienced practitioners, thought leaders, and ministry partners to create relevant learning experiences for the church and the world today. In 2026, CCL celebrated its fifth anniversary and five years of providing accessible learning opportunities that equip disciples and leaders for ministry.
Learning Designed for a Changing World
Ministry is always evolving—and so are the people called to lead, serve, and make a difference. Whether you are a pastor, chaplain, lay leader, ministry professional, or simply someone seeking to grow as a disciple, CCL provides opportunities to deepen your knowledge, strengthen your skills, and engage your faith.
At the CCL, you do not have to step away from the work of ministry to grow in your leadership skills and faith formation. We offer flexible learning opportunities designed around the realities of busy lives, changing communities, and diverse ministry contexts. Learners can participate through:
- Live and on-demand courses to make learning accessible wherever you serve
- Cohort and certificate programs with opportunities for deeper study and skill development
- Webinars, conferences, and special events that engage emerging issues and ideas
- Digital resources and practical tools to support ongoing ministry and faith formation
- Learning communities that encourage conversation, connection, and shared discovery
Our growing course catalog explores areas such as leadership development, Baptist identity, chaplaincy, intercultural ministry, spiritual formation, justice, intergenerational leadership, stewardship, and other relevant topics shaping ministry today.
At the ABHMS Center for Continuous Learning, our goal is not simply to prepare you for ministry to others. We are committed to forming you as a leader who is on your own journey of discipleship.
