It is now 4/6 and reviewing the recording was quite impressive with the engagement, myth busting and the longevity of the "Coffee Chat" model. The sense of developing a community, a common sanctuary, ability and willingness to share across different churches/township locations is powerful. The incorporation of topics from words, to poets, to song, and 'new things' has an adventuresome and novel curiosity element, but also fun and creative. The logistics of a email the Friday prior to a gathering +/- and a simple 'assignment' to prime the discussion pump. Mention of Rev Palen's slides about the Coffee Chat, I will check around the ABHMS sight, as I would love to download. The time frame of 20-30 min was amazing. Albeit the planning give a hint to Rev. Palen joy of evoking the program. Very impressive. Thanks, will try too catch up... Boyd Myers Baptist Church of West Chester.
