Russell Jeung
Dr. Russell Jeung is Professor of Asian American Studies at San Francisco State University. He was named one of TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world for 2021. Jeung earned this recognition for co-founding Stop AAPI Hate, a national coalition against anti-Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) racism and hate in the U.S. It tracks incidents of COVID-19 discrimination to develop policy interventions and long-term solutions to racism. Stop AAPI Hate was awarded the 2021 Webby Award for "Social Movement of the Year."
